Made in China sweeps the European and EU markets, with 85% of toys coming from China

Global Times reporter Zhu Mengying reported that "Made in China" has swept the global market and occupied an unshakable place. On December 5th, the Austrian newspaper "Standard" reported that according to statistics from the European Statistical Office, China is the largest exporter of toys in the EU market, accounting for 85% of the EU market share. Hong Kong and Vietnam rank third and fourth respectively.
According to reports, in 2016, EU countries imported approximately 7.5 billion euros worth of toys, while EU countries exported only 1.5 billion euros worth of toys to third countries. The amount of toy imports from the UK (27%), Germany (16%), and the Netherlands (10%) exceeds half of the total toy imports from EU countries.
In addition, the EU mainly exports toys to Czech Republic and Germany. According to statistics, the Czech Republic exported toys worth 470 million euros in 2016, while Germany exported toys worth 291 million euros in 2016. These two countries accounted for 32% and 20% of the total toy exports of EU countries, respectively.
